Hemp Hulls & Hearts

Provex 100% Australian grown Equine Hemp is for horses of all ages and sizes.  It is comprised of course hulls and hearts directly from the processing of hemp seeds. Use as part of normal feed.

Equine Hemp is a natural cool feed, rich in both soluble and non-soluble fibre to provide balanced roughage to a horse’s diet.  It does not contain any additives, preservatives or fillers.  Equine Hemp is non-GMO and contains all the goodness of hemp seeds that horses love.

Nutritional attributes:

Feeding Guide:

1-2 cups (100g - 200g) twice a day into daily feed depending on horse’s performance level. Feeding guide based on 500kg horse. Introduce gradually from smaller doses over two weeks. Sustained daily feeding for at least a month provides the best results.

Storage:

Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.

Hemp products and swabbing:

The industrial hemp plant is classified overall as low to zero for any cannabinoids. Pure hemp seed does not contain any cannabinoids while any low reading is confined to the flowers and leaves.  The flower and leaves are separated and not processed or included with the hemp seed.  In addition the hemp seed is cleaned prior to being processed. 

However, due to environmental effects while growing in the field, the harvesting process and the manufacturing process, traces of these low concerning elements may remain with the hemp seed products.

As a result, Provex makes the statement that their products "may contain" slight traces of cannabinoids.

Out of abundance of extreme caution, for race/eventing horses Provex does not recommend using these products during or two weeks prior to an event.  The product is still beneficial for race/eventing horses when spelling and for all other horses all the time.
