Limetree Flowers (Linden Flowers)

$64.95

Tilia argentea

Deciduous tall tree with the pale yellow flowers used herbally. Lime contains flavonoids, acids, mucilage, tannins, volatile oil and traces of benzodiazepine-like compounds. The flavonoids improve circulation. As mucilage is a soothing agent for the gut, it is therefore useful for colic.

Lime reduces tension and has a sedative action. In humans it can reduce headaches, helps to calm the mind, therefore assisting in a restful night’s sleep.

Feed one handful or add 1 cup of hot water, brewing for at least 10 minutes, then as for lemon verbena, add a teaspoon of raw honey and pour the lot into the feed.

A cool horse will result in no time. For the rider, two teaspoons per cup of water made into a tea, add sugar or honey as desired.

Available in 1kg.
